We spent the day at the beach. Shane chased a Frisbee all afternoon, as many of our friends took turns playing with her. She never seems to tire. She especially enjoyed the barbequed hot dogs and buns. Shane didn't enjoy the night time fireworks, however. She hid under a blanket the whole time. Apparently Shane was a bit worn out when all is said and done...she slept all the way home. (She is usually very animated on car rides).

We went to the vet today to see why Shane was limping. It appears that she has a sprain in her hind leg. The bad news is that it is a bit painful for Shane. The good news is that it should heal fairly quickly. The Vet wrapped her leg in a bandage and gave her a shot to reduce the swelling. Needless to say, Shane was one pampered pooch today!

The neighbors brought home a new puppy today. Shane sensed this immediately and started going wild. We decided it would be a good idea to introduce the dogs to one another. (Besides, we couldn't take the barking much longer.) They two seemed a bit guarded at first, but eventually warmed up to one another. I think they will be good friends!

Shane ate an entire apple pie today. No, we did not feed it too her. We left it on the dining room table. The smell was pretty tempting. When we returned home from errands, we saw Shane spread out on the floor with her paws up and her tongue hanging out of her mouth. She has never done anything like this before. I guess the smell of warm apple pie was too much for her to resist!
